Elizabeth Duckworth

Elizabeth is excited about utilizing entrepreneurship and economics in conjunction with medicine to develop novel solutions to the problems large and small that plague healthcare systems. Her interdisciplinary interests first sparked in high school bioethics and economics courses and really caught flame at Claremont McKenna College, where she studied Science & Management with a Biotechnology Sequence. A junior year spent working and studying in Silicon Valley and Santiago, Chile exposed her to the benefits of design thinking and rapid ideation and the perils of inefficient systems. After a year spent working at a biotechnology startup, she is excited to be starting her medical education at Penn.
